How the estimate works

The ordinary award uses half a month per year for the first five years and a month per subsequent year, with fractions pro-rated. Ordinary resignation receives zero below two years, one-third from two through exactly five years, two-thirds above five and below ten, and the full award from ten years.

Date assumption: completed Gregorian anniversaries plus remaining days divided by the days in the next service year, including the final working day. This is a disclosed estimate, not a statutory day-count formula. Article 10 defaults to Hijri unless the contract or work regulations state otherwise; do not rely on this estimate for Hijri-based service.

Informational estimate based on Articles 84 and 85 of the Saudi Labour Law. Check special cases and disputes with HRSD or a legal adviser. This excludes probation, Article 80 dismissals, Articles 81/87 exceptions, service interruptions and other final-settlement entitlements.
